Duels
Ranked duels put your real build against another player's: the gear, gems, cards and skills you use in the campaign. Each round you choose where to strike and where to block, and the numbers below decide the rest.
The damage formula
Damage = (ATK + roll + bonus) × crit × (1 − enemy DEF ÷ 100)
- ATK is the number on your stat bar: gear, gems, cards and your class.
- Roll is a flat +1 to +20, different every hit.
- Bonus is flat ATK from skills: casts, buffs and procs.
- Crit multiplies the hit by 2. Your CRIT chance has no ceiling; the defender's LUK and a Priest's Ward take from it.
- DEF takes 1% off the hit per point, up to 80%.
- A block, when the defender guesses your target, and a dodge both reduce the hit to zero. A hit that lands deals at least 1.
Example: ATK 100, a roll of 10, enemy DEF 50 gives (100 + 10) × 0.5 = 55, or 110 on a crit.
HP and the length of a fight
Duel HP is 55 + 3 per player level, plus HP from VIT, skills and gear. A duel lasts at most 12 rounds. From round 7 on, armor cracks: both fighters lose 10 DEF every round, so nobody hides behind armor forever.
HP lost in duels comes back by itself, from empty to full in 10 minutes.
The five stats
You get 8 stat points per player level. A stat goes up to 99, and points get dearer as it grows: the step from x to x + 1 costs 1 + x ÷ 10, rounded down. Stats count in duels only. Resetting them costs 50 crystals.
| Stat | What a point gives |
|---|---|
| STR | +0.4% to base ATK per point for Warrior and Paladin |
| AGI | +0.4% to base ATK per point for Rogue; dodge chance 5% plus 0.2% for every point of AGI you have over the attacker, up to 25% |
| INT | +0.4% to base ATK per point for Priest and Mage; +1% to heals and poison per point |
| VIT | +1 HP per point |
| LUK | +0.4% CRIT per point; −0.2% to the CRIT chance of whoever attacks you, per point |
Classes in duels
Every skill has a duel effect of its own, listed rank by rank on the class pages: Warrior, Rogue, Paladin, Priest, Mage. Active skills are cast once per duel.
Rewards
A won ranked duel pays 300 coins and moves you up the leaderboard.
Frequently asked
How is damage calculated in a duel?

55 + 3 per player level, plus HP from VIT, skills and gear. Duel HP comes back by itself: from empty to full in 10 minutes.
What does DEF do in a duel?
Every point of DEF takes 1% off the damage you receive, up to 80%. From round 7 both fighters lose 10 DEF per round, so long fights always end.
